When your boiler is serviced, our qualified engineer performs a thorough check to make sure the boiler is running efficiently and safely. The service starts with a visual inspection for any signs of damage, corrosion, or leaks, including the flue pipe.
The boiler case is then removed and the heating engineer will examine essential parts such as the heat exchanger, burner, and pump for any wear and tear. Safety devices like the thermostat and pressure relief valve will also be tested to ensure they are working correctly.
The boiler is then thoroughly cleaned and hoovered to remove any soot or debris including the burner to ensure it is still working efficiently. The gas pressure is checked to make sure it is within the safe operating range and then a carbon monoxide test will be done to make sure that the boiler is venting the gases safely. A final test is done to determine if the boiler is heating your home effectively and efficiently.
They thoroughly clean the boiler and check for any leaks or corrosion. The flame is also checked along with the burner, injector and spark probe. All electrical connections and wiring are checked. The gas pressure is examined and the flue also inspected to ensure there are no dangerous fumes such as carbon monoxide.
